AI Studio overview
Every tool is in the Tools group in the sidebar, split into five groups. Each group has its own page in this guide.
How a tool page works
Section titled “How a tool page works”Every tool works the same way, so once you know one, you know them all.
- The tool’s page lists what you’ve made with it, newest first.
- The button at the top right (like Edit image or Generate video) opens the tool’s form.
- Under the form is an estimate of the credits for that one run. It updates as you change options, like quality or length.
- Tools that use a person’s photo or voice ask you to tick a statement first. See consent and attestations.
- Once you run it, the result appears on the same page when it’s ready. You don’t have to wait on the page. Heavier tools can take a few minutes.
Each result has a few actions: favourite it, lock it so it can’t be deleted, delete it, or retry it if it failed. Some tools can also reopen the form with the same settings, so you only change what needs changing.
Credits
Section titled “Credits”Every run spends the credits you saw in the estimate. While a tool is still running the credits are held, and they’re settled when it finishes.
If a run fails, its credits come back on their own. You don’t need to ask.

How long results are kept
Section titled “How long results are kept”That depends on your plan, not on the tool.
- Free account: every tool works, but uploads and results are deleted automatically 1 hour after they appear. The time left is shown on each file. Temporary storage is 512 MB in total, counting results that haven’t expired yet.
- Paid plan: results stay in your media library until you delete them, within your plan’s storage.
